Located just a two minute walk from Meguro Station, Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) specializes in Meguro pacific saury and home-style cooking. Fresh seafood arrives every week from Sanriku and Onagawa! |
I visited on a Thursday at 11:28, just before opening time. I'm leaving Meguro for a new job, so I decided to try the Meguro specialty. There were four people waiting for the restaurant to open, and the counter was full when it opened after me. It must be really popular. There seem to be tables in the back, but customers keep coming in one after another. Meguro's Sanma Set Meal 850 yen. You can add a raw egg for 50 yen, chilled tofu or natto for 100 yen, and fried chicken or Croquette for 150 yen. It also comes with Small dish, and you can get a free refill of rice, so it's a great deal for the price. I don't really like sanma, but it was fatty and delicious. It was a very good restaurant.
