心なしか、目黒駅周辺は人出が増えつつあるような気がする。5月10日頃までは人出が本当に少なくて、権之助坂を歩くのに人をよけたりすることがなかったが、今はランチタイムに意外と人出がある。コロナ禍以前の半分くらいまで戻っているのかもしれない。
ところがこちらの店はノーゲスト。急に暑くなったこともあって、カレーは避けられているのかもしれない。しかし暑いときほどカレーが合う。インドやタイで辛い料理が好まれるのは暑さと辛さの相性がいいからだろう。
Ａセット950円はカレーがひとつだけだがＢセット1,100円にすると2つ選べるので、日替わりカレーのほうれん草とマッシュルーム、それにチキンカレーとした。サラダと飲み物がつくのでラッシーにしてもらった。
ラッシーは何処で飲んでも変わらない味。サラダはごく普通。ナンは熱々で美味しい。カレーは日替わりがいまいちナンに合わなかったが、チキンカレーとのマッチングはぴったりで、日替わりではなくマトンカレーにすべきだったなと少し後悔した。
ナンがお代わりできるので、半分だけもらう。もらったナンは焼き立てではなくてちょっと焦げすぎていた。これはＮＧ。そこそこ美味しかっただけに、この減点は残念。お代わりを貰わなければ気付かなかったのにと、ここでも少し後悔した。
食べている最中に3組の新規客が入店して、少しホッとした。コロナ禍で頑張っている店があるのだから、外食好きは是非利用してほしいと思う。外食は文化のひとつとして重要な役割を担っている訳で、廃れないように支えていくことも必要だと思う。
