A 10-minute walk from Shirokane Takanawa, the shop quietly appears as you pass through a quiet residential area. I was invited by a friend and 4 of us went there. There are 6 seats at the counter, and 2 private rooms in the back, and there are many famous people who frequent this restaurant. The interior of the store is spacious and has a spacious counter, so you can relax without feeling nervous. Perhaps this is due to the gentle personality of the owner/chef. The store's name is said to be UTOKA, which is pronounced Kato backwards. selection course starts from 36,300 yen with 10% service charge. Prices vary depending on the ingredients. Started with sea bream carpaccio topped with caviar. Luxury with plenty of caviar. It goes best with champagne. Next was consommé soup and truffles. Because it is a simple consommé soup, the aroma of the truffles is brought out to the fullest. The third item is Wagyu beef yukhoe. Served on bread. From the appetizer stage, I was captivated by the volume of meat. And seared Chateaubriand. At first, enjoy it simply with garlic, then dip it in rich eggs Sukiyaki style to bring out the flavor even more. Red wine here. Another characteristic of UTOKA is that they have a wide variety of wines. This time, we have selected Gevrey Chambertin's 2019. The main course is Steak, sandwiched with a salad full of fresh vegetables. You can choose from fillet or sirloin. The grams are 100g and 150g depending on your stomach. On this day, the fillet was recommended, so I had the Kumamoto beef fillet. It's grilled over charcoal, and it's even more delicious than I expected. It was the most delicious Steak I've ever eaten! This Steak alone is worth coming here. The final meal is TKG with lots of truffles. How about some additional curry and Omelette Rice rice? I added curry because I was tempted to choose all of them even if I was full. Desserts are also handmade by the chef, and you can choose between a classic hard pudding or Basque cheesecake.
