昔違う会社に出向していた頃、その会社の人達と良く言った店。もうその会社もその近くには無く、家から特別近くもないのだが、ここのチャーハンが久々に食べたくなった。当時からチャーハン屋と呼んでおり、日替わりメニューのうち4～5種類がチャーハンであるためだ。
入店すると分かるが、店員さんは中華系のお母さんとオッチャン。名物お母さん（ネットで動画を見ることが出来た記憶あり）が注文を取りに来て、伝達に中国語が飛ぶ。厨房の中では、これも（おそらく）中国人の料理人がものすごい火力で豪快に中華鍋を振るう。時折出る厨房からのハイッ！の返事が何か本格的で格好いい。そして提供スピードも早い。
平日の昼は大方の客がビジネスマン。みなさん、掲示板の番号で注文するが、7番以降は大抵チャーハンで固定である。これは5年前から変わっていない。この日注文した9番も定番メニュー。黒豆醤を使ったピリ辛チャーハンで当方のお気に入りだ。
見た目と違い、ご飯は割と日本的なふっくらとしたご飯だ。塩辛い黒豆に、炒り卵、豚肉、ネギ。少しヒリヒリする感じの味わいが癖になり、止まらなくなる。油もたっぷり使っているので、食べ終わり頃には皿に落ちた油が気になるが、中華だし残してもマナー違反にならない。
これに、とろみの強い玉子スープと、もやしのお浸し等付け合わせ、杏仁豆腐がつく。
他のメニューは、特に麺系は日本ではなかなか想像できない味わいがある。台湾ラーメンは辛くない。楊州チャーハン7番が、いわゆる家庭的な一般に感じるチャーハン。特にイメージと一番違うのが中華丼だ。何せ日本人向けに合わせた感じがしないので、色々楽しんでみるのもあり。
