現地食堂@美味閣
東急大崎広小路駅改札口から大通りを渡ったところにある中華料理屋さん。JR五反田駅からでも5分ちょっとみたいなロケーションです。夕方から夜の早い時間帯で店頭のメニューで「お酒+二品セット@980円(税込み)」とタイムサービスを確認して、中に入ります。女性のスタッフと目が合います。沈黙が流れます…人差し指を差し出すとテーブルを指さします。ほぼ、手話の世界？みたいな感じです。
お酒セットで生ビール+小皿は、にら玉炒め+ジャガイモ細切り炒めの炒め物コンビをオーダーします。オーダーは写真を指さしてOKです。その後、隣客が会計を要求しても、この女性スタッフは微動だにしません。料理中のシェフが私の炒め物を作り終えるまで隣客の会計は放置されました。
つまり、完全に現地食堂であって、日本語をわずかに解するのはシェフだけです。試しにホッピーセットを追加すると通じません。日本語メニューの「ホッピーセット」を指さしてもシェフを呼んでも文字は理解困難です。とりあえず、ウーロンが通じたので、ウーロンハイを追加しました。ちなみにサワー類はタイムサービス対象ですが、なんとかこちらの指摘を受け入れてもらいました。
それでも出てきた炒め物は、悪くないです。そもそも熱々なら何でもおいしい炒め物ですから、悪くなりようがありません。
まあ、それにしてもこの程度のリテラシーで日本で中華料理店で儲けるというのは大陸の常識なのでしょうか。とても不思議な現地旅行でした。

【6年ぶりの再訪】
以前来たことがあるのは、覚えていましたが、６年も前のことでしたか。今回はランチタイムに立ち寄ります。
現地女性スタッフがきちんと仕切るようになっていました。常連さんとの軽口も得意みたいです。
店内の造作に記憶はないのですが、案外狭くてテーブルが密集しています。
ここにオヤジ率100％で相席でぶち込まれるのですから密集密閉感ありありです。
で、ランチメニューから日替わりの豚もつ辛炒め＠800円をオーダーします。
サーブの際に空いていたテーブルがあったので、移るように促されました。これはポイント高いサービスです。
豚もつ辛炒め自体は、美味しく仕上がっています。辛さは中華系の辛さで、それほどでもなく、ピリ辛のお手本みたいな感じです。
ご飯もお替りして、お腹ポンポンで会計に進みます。
決済方法を確認すると、YES/NOではなく、ランチは赤字でやってんだよ！との回答をいただきました。
赤字なら営業しなければいいのに…そこそこ以上の味でしたが、後味は悪かったですね。
