五反田駅の高架下にある横丁「五反田桜小路」にある中華屋さん。この小路、大衆的だけどひと癖ある飲食店が並んでて、かなり惹かれます。
このお店は、店名に「餃子」とあるように餃子が名物ではあるけれど、他のメニューもなかなか魅力的。
お通しはもやしとササミの和えもの。ごま油がきいた定番のおつまみだけど、濃すぎない優しい味付けがいい感じです。
最初に頼んだのは、名物の羽根つき餃子によだれ鶏、大根サラダ、新作だというやみつき手羽餃子です。
早々にやってきたのは大根サラダとよだれ鶏。大根サラダはお皿に山盛り。かなりのボリュームです。シャキシャキの新鮮な大根で、胃腸を目覚めさせます。よだれ鶏は、前菜人気No.1というだけあり、深いコクのある甘辛タレがとにかく美味しい！安い居酒屋だと結構パサついたお肉だったりするけれど、ここのお肉もとってもジューシー。これで490円なんだから素晴らしい。続々と餃子がやってきます。羽根つき餃子は、皮が少し厚めで餡もたっぷり。羽根の部分はパリパリで、皮の部分はモチモチという、それぞれ違った食感を楽しめます。餡はニンニクがきいたパンチのあるお味。でも野菜もたっぷりで、野菜とお肉が合わさった旨みがじゅわ～っと染み出してきます。かなり食べ応えのある餃子です。
やみつき手羽餃子は、本当にやみつきになります。カリカリの手羽の皮の中に、餃子餡がたっぷり。一口食べて、餃子好きの友人の目の色が変わりました。次来くる時もオーダー必須です。
水餃子と大エビチリ、ジーパイを追加でオーダー。
水餃子は優しいお味で落ち着きます。餡にほんのり甘みがあって、タレがなくても美味でした。大エビチリはマイルドな辛さ。プリプリで歯ごたえ抜群のエビに、高級店にも引けを取らない本格的なエビチリソース。ここは餃子以外のメニューも高レベルです。ジーパイは、最近人気が出てきている台湾風のから揚げですね。衣がサックサクで美味。香辛料がきいていて、なんともクセになる味わいです。揚げたての熱々をぜひ食べてもらいたい。
シメは、超オススメという濃厚担々麺を。名前のとおり、本当に濃厚なスープでした。太めの麺に絡みつく胡麻の風味がたまりません。麺自体ももっちりしていて美味。かなりお腹がいっぱいだったのに、こんな濃いシメを食べきれるとは…。担々麺専門店でも流行りそうな逸品でした。
お腹がパンパンになるまで飲み食いしても一人3,000円代なんだから、そりゃまた行っちゃいますよ。
