中目黒のはずれにある、亀がトレードマークのイタリアン。店名は亀を意味するようで、店内も亀の置物など亀に関するものがたくさんある。石造りのすっきりした店内だが、なんだろうちょっと安っぽさを感じる。入り口の扉も重厚な雰囲気だが、実際手を触れてみるとそうでもない印象を受ける。
ランチは1000円からあり、サラダ・パスタ・コーヒーという構成。サラダ、パンが平凡過ぎ、最初からトーンダウンさせられるが、パスタはまずまず。塩加減がちょうどよく、乾麺だがインパクトがあるできばえに仕上がっている。一番よかったのはカプチーノで、クリームのスキーム加減がよく、またエスプレッソの苦味との相性がよかった。
夏休み期間だったのでお昼をやっているか確認の電話をしたら、やっているとのことでそのままきろうとしたら、「その時間であれば予約したほうがいい」とのことだったので予約したが、実際はがらがら。何でわざわざ予約を求めたのか不明。あと、ナプキンも口拭き用の小さな紙ナプキンのみだが、ランチでも一応大きめの紙ナプキンくらい準備したほうがいいと思う。
