ピンクの館
山手通り沿いにある南インド料理のお店。丁度、中目黒と大鳥神社の中間ほどの位置にある。
目立つ看板と石像が目印。
よく見ると看板もピンク、お店のドアもピンクである。店内に足を踏み入れると全面ピンクの壁に覆われた独特の雰囲気を醸し出す。文字通りピンクの館である。
ランチメニュー
ランチはカレー3種とタンドリーチキン、サラダ、デザートの食べ放題がなんと1,000円。
ナン食べ放題はよく見かけるがカレーとタンドリーチキンは珍しい。
いわゆるバイキング形式で自由に取って食べるスタイルだ。
左からカリフラワー、キーマ、チキンの順。カレーはいずれもサラリとしたスープ状のタイプ。
どれもタイプが似通っているだけにもう少しメリハリが欲しくなる。
キーマは鶏肉を使っているのでコクがなく、スパイスも生姜やカルダモンが強く香るすっきりとしたタイプなのでどこか物足りなさが残る。
シリバラジ特製のおすすめのドーサランチにプラスしてアラカルトでこちらのメニューを注文。
カレーだけではなく一品料理のメニューがとても充実しているのがこのお店の特徴だ。
ドーサとは豆と米を水につけて挽いたものを更に発酵させてクレープ状に平たく焼いた南インドの郷土料理のひとつ。ドーサだけでもメニューが豊富で、こちらの特製のおすすめのドーサはスパイスが絡んだじゃがいや豆を具材として乗せて、最後にこれを巻いた状態で供している。どことなくサモサに近い具材であるが、揚げていない分、趣が異なる。
生地は旨味があり、食感も心地いい。これに添えられているトマト、ココナッツ、ミントの3種のチャトニとサンバルを付けて頂く。
十分に味がついているので、そのままでも十分に美味しいので必ずしも必要に感じないが、プレーンなどのシンプルなドーサーには威力を発揮しそうだ。
結構ボリュームがあるのである程度まとまった人数でわけあうのが良さそうだ。
