20数年前に中野区に住んでいたころ本店にお世話になって以来、何故だかわからないが中野区から引越した後は大変なご無沙汰になってしまっていた野方ホープ。飲んだ後の〆が食べたくなり、20数年ぶりに支店の中目黒の野方ホープに伺いました。
昔は環七ラーメン戦争の中心にいたラーメン屋さんで、ちなみにホープ軒とは全くの別会社です。
中目黒駅から3分程度の裏路地にあり、そこそこ混んでました。
注文したのは、創業以来の背脂あっさりの味を継承するのがほ元（はじめ）850円。昔は単に中華そばの名称で割安でしたが数年前に変わったようです。
トッピングは、もやしと海苔を注文…しかしここで痛恨のミス。昔はさほどでもなかったもやしと海苔がそれぞれ値上がりしており、もやしが150円、海苔が300円…メニューを確認してなかった自己責任…注文してしばらく経ってたのでキャンセする勇気もなく…昔の感じで注文して1000円以内でと思ってましたが後の祭りでした…笑
とはいえ着丼した20数年ぶりの一杯は、懐かしく、身体に覚えた食欲を抑えきれませんでした。海苔はすごいボリュームでまあ300円は今のご時世仕方ないかと思いました。
肝心のラーメンですが、昔と変わらず想像していた通りの味わい。背脂の力強いとんこつスープながら全体的にはまろやかなスープ。もっちりとした中太麺も想像通り。白葱ともやしのシャキシャキ感、予期せぬ金額だったトッピングの海苔も結果的には、正解でした。
