仕事と個人生活の微妙な境界に位置する、少々心重たい任務で祝日の朝、中目黒に足を運んだ。待ち合わせまでのわずかな30分という時間をどうにか潰そうと、南口を出て目についたこのカフェに飛び込んだのだ。

このブレンドコーヒーは、ほのかな酸味が舌を刺激する。私の求める味わいとは異なるが、焙煎の手際の良さは認めざるを得ない。
カウンター席は意外と広く、電源も完備。外を眺めながら仕事をする（あるいはその振りをする）には、この上なく快適だろう。大きなテーブル席は、家庭的な雰囲気で和やかだ。
この一時の安らぎに感謝。
