I had breakfast at café & books bibliothèque, a cafe right in front of the north exit ticket gate of Jiyugaoka station. Unfortunately, this cafe will be closing on 1/10/2023, and there will be a closing sale for merchandise from 1/11-15. Reluctantly, I ordered the morning menu's "seasonal fruit Pancakes" (currently strawberry) and "beef stew & salad". These Pancakes are perfectly round - are they baked in a mold? The texture is great, crispy on the outside and chewy inside. The strawberry sauce is also delicious with chunks of strawberry pulp. The beef stew salad was topped with Ethnic Cuisine spices, giving it a fresh taste! Adding spices to a salad is a great idea - I'll try it at home too. It's a shame to see it close as it was a cafe in a convenient location, but it seems they also have locations in Yurakucho and Kichijoji, so I'll go back there for Pancakes.
