In front of the "Sugakari Elementary School" bus stop, 10 minutes from Shibuya by bus. *Now open at 2 restaurant: Higashiyama store and Megurokawa store! This Higashiyama store has a spacious basement floor. It's a 10 minute walk from the station, but it's easier to make a reservation. Because the smoke exhaust is powerful, there is less smoke and odor! Open until 24 hours |
2004年に目黒川近くに「くろひつじ」というお店がオープンし、中目黒にジンギスカンブームを巻き起こしたのもはるか昔。その後お店は「中目黒ひつじ」と店名を変え、ここ「東山店」と「目黒川店」の2店舗で営業しています。どちらもランチは土日祝だけなので、祝日にランチ訪問してみました。
お店はドンキの向かい「焼肉チャンピオン」が２Fに入っているビルの地下1階。階段を降りていくと、コンクリ打ちっ放しの壁に、天井の排煙管むき出しの、無機質な店内。カジュアルな雰囲気です。6人の家族連れと、ご夫婦2人が食事していましたが、そのあと4組10人ほどお客さんがやって来て、かなりの混み方になりました。
セットのようなランチメニューは特になく、単品から選んでいきます。「ランチタイムは全品割引」と書いてあります。
ジンギスカン（野菜付き）マトン 1380円⇒980円

ジンギスカンはマトン（成羊）薄切りか、アイスランドラム（仔羊）厚切りが選べますが、追加肉で両方注文しました。
生ビールがすぐ来て、ぐびぐび。あ、ドリンク1杯オーダー必須みたいです。
日本語が上手な東南アジア系の青年が、ひとりでお店を任されており、とても忙しそうだけどすごくテキパキ仕事をしています。ジンギスカン鍋の乗った七輪が運ばれてきました。これ炭火ですね。カセットコンロじゃなくて炭火なのは嬉しい。
鍋にはマトンの薄切りと、もやし、キャベツ、ニンジン、ニラが乗っています。肉の量は思ったより控えめです。
肉が焼けてきたら、少し甘いタレで。おー、北海道産のマトンは全然羊と分からないくらいクセがない。逆に言うと羊っぽくなくてちょっと物足りないくらい。薄切りなのですぐ火が通ります。焼き過ぎない方が美味しいです。
ラムも食べてみます。こちらは角切りなので焼くのに少し時間がかかります。あー、脂が甘くてジューシーでうまい。ミルキーという表現もあるけど、甘くて美味しいラム。アイスランド産はブランドですね。
ビールを飲み終わったら、ライスがないことに気づきました。ランチセットじゃないからライスは別です。ここでやめればヘルシーなランチになるけど、ライスも食べたいなあ。小250円もするのかあ、と悩んでいたら、隣のお客さんがキーマカレーを注文しました。あ、それ美味そう。
ラム挽肉のキーマカレー 480円
20種類もの香辛料がメチャ香るキーマ。食べてみるとラム肉独特のコクと甘味があって、すごく美味しいカレーです。ご飯の量が茶碗一杯くらいしかないのがちょっと残念だけど、これはうまい。ジンギスカンの肉と一緒にキーマカレーを楽しみました。
美味しかったです。肉のクオリティは確かで悪くないです。ただランチセットがないので、やや割高になりますね。例えば五反田の「ジンギスカン霧島」は定食になっている分、あちらの方が費用対効果は良いです。こちらはラムチョップやラムロース芯など色々な部位を楽しめるのがいい。夜ゆっくりお酒を飲みながらジンギスカンを食べるのが良いかもしれません。
