昼過ぎの日曜日の二子玉川は、どの店もランチで混んでいる。激混みのライズや高島屋を避けて路面店のこちらにお邪魔した。
路面店にありがちなメニューの分散で、テーブルメニューにないメニューが壁に貼られている。カツ丼があったので注文。カツ丼はあれば注文してしまうメニューのひとつだ。ビールと板わさもお願いした。
日曜日に昼過ぎからビールが飲めるのは幸せである。明日は第三次世界大戦がはじまるかもしれないが、いまこのひとときはビールを味わわせてほしい。板わさのかまぼこは500円と高めながら、いいかまぼこを使っている。わさびが美味しい。
カツ丼は肉が薄い。代わりに衣が厚い。逆がよかった。出汁に浸った衣はベチャベチャ、もそもそする。この食感は嫌いではないが、厚めの肉があってこそだ。肉が薄いトンカツのカツ丼は、カツもご飯も全部同じ食感で、楽しくない。
吸い物はなんだか変に旨味が濃い。ナントカの松茸のお吸い物みたいだ。違うのは三つ葉が浮かんでいることだけ。三つ葉があるならカツ丼にたくさん入れてほしかった。
いいところもあったが、肝心のカツ丼が残念な味で、がっかりのお昼になってしまった。
