本格的タイ料理が、リーズナブルで価格で堪能できるおすすめの店だ。トムヤムラーメンは是非米粉の麺で行ってほしい！
ソウルフードバンコク東京都内に複数展開する、本格的タイ料理のチェーン店ということだが、企業の情報が出てこないのが不思議。食べ物自体は、チェーン店というより、個人店の本格的タイ料理という感じだ。
今日のランチは、近所の蕎麦屋に行こうと思っていましたが、残念ながら定休日。そこでこちらのソウルフードバンコク 武蔵小山店を思い出し訪問。ここははちょうど帰宅路にあり、以前から気になっていましたが、地下のなんとなく怪しい店という印象があったので、これまでずっと敬遠してきました。今回は思い切って行ってみることにしました。
ロケーションは東急武蔵小山駅前の、武蔵小山西口商店街の入り口にあります。路地には手作りのようなメニューの看板が出ているので、営業中は絶対わかります。とりあえず、勇気を出して地下潜航！
階段を降りると、お店のドアが空いており、そこから明るい光が漏れています。店内に一歩入ると、そこは別世界！店内の壁には、メニューやポスター至る所に貼られていおり、天井から旗がぶら下がっていたり、昼間からお祭り気分...。『いらしゃーい！』という掛け声だけが、妙に日本的というか。
ランチメニューは、カオマンガイ、トムヤムラーメン、パッタイなど8つあるランチメニュー955円＋税から選択が可能。定番が一通り揃っています。何も考えずにトムヤムラーメンを注文！麺は通常のラーメンの麺か、フォーのような米粉の麺から選択が可能。当然、米粉の麺を注文！
キッチンの向こうからはタイ語のような会話が聞こえます。こういうのも本格的な気分にさせてくれます。どうやらテイクアウトが多いようで、ひっきりなしに注文受け取りの人が入ってきます。想像していたのと違い、かなり流行っており、かなり賑やか。
トムヤムラーメンが登場！真っ赤な辛そうなスープに、エビ、パクチ〜。さらに、ほんのりとしたナンプラーとココナッツの香りがまたたまらない！スープは想像した通り辛、酸、甘の渾然一体化したなんともいえないスープです。私は甘いものは苦手なのですが、これは非常にうまい。予想より小降りのどんぶりですが、実際食べ始めると、麺が全然減ってゆきません。激辛のような色ですが、自分的にはピリから程度なので、もう少し辛味のオプションが欲しいところ。
美味かった！また行こう。
