旗の台の商店街。繁栄している荏原町の商店街から外れて、旗の台の商店街は少し落ち着きを持ち始める。
その商店街の端の方に近い、米屋。
商店街でも、はたまた米屋でも工夫とこだわり次第ではまだまだいける素晴らしい商店の努力と工夫の事例がここにある。
最近、カフェや個人商店の力がメキメキと上がりつつある地域。全国的にその傾向があるけど、品川区の旗の台中も味わいのあるお店がちらほら出てきている。
粟の入った餅米のおはぎは、わざわざ遠くから買いに来る人がいるほど。きな粉と小豆餡があるが、僕はここの小豆のおはぎはとにかく美味しいと思う。
まず、ゴロリとした小豆が素晴らしい食感だし、甘さが抑えてあり、香りが素晴らしいのです。
粟の入った素朴でしっかりした餅米との相性が抜群。
きな粉の方も甘さは控えてあり、身体にも優しい、味も本当に見事な仕上がりです。
確かに和菓子屋の作るどこのおはぎより美味しいです。
米屋の作るおはぎ。甘さ控えて香りは抜群。
最近テレビでも全国での有数の甘いおはぎとしての特集に出て注目を浴びています。
米屋の作る見事なおはぎ。
旗の台の名物の一つになるくらいの量を作ってくれるといいのですが、量は限られているので、運がいいと手に入るレベル。
旗の台は最近楽しい店も多くなりつつあります。
