五反田エリアにある町中華『萬来軒』を訪ねます。
昭和6年創業の老舗で、外観も内装もその歴史を物語っております。厨房にはご高齢のご夫婦、ホールは息子さんくらいの年齢の男性が担当しているようです。ランチどきの満席をさばく姿も、長年の連携プレイの結果なのか、１０席以上のお客様をじゃんじゃんさばいていきます。
ガッツリ定（C）、1000円。
チャーハン、ラーメン、ギョーザ。文字通りのガッツリ定食で、それがたったの1000円という価格設定に驚きです。名物と位置付けられる「チャーハン」はネギと卵のシンプルなもの。塩気は結構強めですが、これぞ町中華というアウトプットでもあります。
ラーメンは鶏ガラベースのスープで、強い酸味が特徴になっております。スープ表面の油がいつまでも熱々の印象を継続させております。化調の強さは否めないが、これもまた懐かしさと思えば一興。麺は細めの縮れ麺。餃子の半分が焦げ焦げだったのはご愛嬌。もちもちした皮の中には野菜と肉がバランスよく配合されております。ニンニクなしの優しい味わい。
