１１月のとある日曜日、荏原町駅からほど近い、同店を訪れました。
人通りが多めの商店街に面した通り沿いのビルの2階にあります。
表に出されている看板だけをみると、焼肉屋のようですが、ランチメニューには焼き肉以外もあるようです。
意を決して、階段を上がり、店の扉を開けてみました。
他には誰もお客がおらず、だだっ広い店内がガランとしていました。
中は焼肉店のつくりになっていますが、店員さんはネパール人でした。
本来、ランチは平日の昼間だけなのでしょうが、聞いてみるとOKとのことだったので、キーマカレーのランチをナンで頼みました。
サラダとドリンクもついています。ラッシーを飲みました。
ナンは薄めで、私が好きなモチモチタイプではありませんでした。
コストパフォーマンスは良かったと思いますが、なんとなく寂しい気分が残りました。
店員さんは悪い人ではないと思いますが、どうやら日本語があまり得意ではないらしく、コミュニケーションがうまくいきませんでした。
注文と会計は問題ありませんでしたが、少しおしゃべりしようとしても、残念ながら話は全く弾みませんでした。
外国での商売は難しいものです。がんばってほしいところです。
