大田区内でも辺鄙な場所だと昔から通説のある馬込エリア。そこがメゾン・イチさんの出発店だとは意外だった。だって代官山のお店見ちゃうとねぇ。他店もハブ的な町にありますし。西馬込のお店は広さも雰囲気もとても庶民的で。
ただ、夕方、お客さんは入れ替わり立ち替わりやって来る。
地元の人たちにとってはもうずっと「おいしい地元のパン屋さん」として重宝されているのだろう。
こちらはデリもおいしくて、今回は一目で魅かれた、かぼちゃとクリームチーズのキッシュ￥480と、イチジクとピスタチオのパン￥270を購入。
キッシュ、まるでかぼちゃのチーズタルト。甘いか甘くないか、がデリかスイーツの分かれ目な感じ。かぼちゃの自然な甘さとクリームチーズがお見事マリアージュ。
イチジクとピスタチオは、いかにもメゾン・イチさんらしい天然酵母パン。
小麦のよい香りがふわっと立ち、食感はもっちり。シンプルなのでバターを盛って焼いて…うーん、相性バッチリ。
これからも大事にされていくお店なんだろうな、きっと。
