都営浅草線 西馬込駅南口前
土曜日正午前の訪問で2割方の入り方。入口左側の券売機より 春菊天券 460円を購入後、厨房内のお兄さんへ手交。選べるつゆは関東風に決め、そばの方でオーダー。番号札を受取り自分で水を入れ、2階の窓際の席に着き、交通量の多い第二京浜を行き来する車両を眺め感慨にふけること、およそ10分で配膳されました。
・春菊天そば
ビックサイズの揚げたて天ぷらにほくそ笑む。
通常収まる大きさを明らかに超えた規格外の大きさって、男心の根底をくすぐるんでしょう。
丼が小さいのででっかく見えるだけだけど、理屈なんかどうでもいいのです。
そんなサクサクとした天ぷらと、昔懐かし高級路線とは対照的な、一昔前の立ち食いそばの代表作とも言えた、あの杉浦日向子さん曰く、そば(のようなもの）と形容されるモフモフとした食感の茹で麺との融合で成立するそば。
至福の一杯です。
この内容で460円。配膳はしてくれますが、食後の食器は返却口へ客が下げる仕組み。
