蒲田駅西口から多摩堤通りを蓮沼駅方向に徒歩6～7分、大田都税事務所の近くの路地に3月15日にオープンした立ち食いうどん屋です。
右隣は揚物専科・とんかつの「かわい」で一軒置いた左隣がこのうどん屋さんを経営する不動産業者のミツヤ商事㈱とのこと。どういう経緯でうどん屋さんの経営に乗り出したのかは良く分かりません。
蒲田駅前のシェアオフィスで仕事をした際、ちょうどその日がオープン初日と知って伺ってみました。蒲田駅西口でうどんというと、「はなまる」と「038」くらい。うどん好きの自分としては新店の登場への期待は大きいものがあります。
11時40分くらいの訪問でしたが、立ち席のカウンターのみ10席ほどのやや手狭な店内は8割くらいの入り。サラリーマンのグループ客は不動産業者の社員かもしれません。店頭には開店祝の花に飲食店にしては金融機関のものが多いのも親会社の関係と思われます。
うどんはメニューから判断して讃岐うどん。自家製麺を謳っていますが、一階にそのスペースは見当たりません。うどんの種類はかけ、湯だめ、ざる、温ぶっかけ、冷ぶっかけの5種類。
トッピングはちくわ天、かき揚げ、鶏天、肉、きつね、玉子等、定番のものが十数種類ありますが、自分でピックアップするセリフのスタイルではありません。
まずは初めてなのでやっぱりうどんはかけの並350円。トッピングはかき揚げ200円を選びました。
店員さんはうどん茹でる男性1名、天ぷら揚げる女性1名、ホール他3～4名でかなり充実の布陣。ただ、開業初日とあっててんやわんや感は否めません。
先客の注文の積み残しもあったのでうどんと別盛りのかき揚げが届いたのは注文からほぼ10分後。うどんも薄い色のスープも麺もかなり本場のものに近い感じです。
かき揚げは残念ながら揚げてバットに取って保温されていたものでした。新しい天ぷらもどんどん揚げているのでタイミングとネタの選択次第で揚げたてを食べることもできるかもしれません。
まずはスープを飲んでみると、イリコの出汁が利いてすっきり旨い。うどんはかけなのでそれほどコシは強くありませんが、舌触りやのど越しはまずまずです。
天ぷらは揚げてからそれほどは経っていない感じ。軽い衣でスープに漬けるとすぐに崩れるので別盛りで正解でした。
開店早々とあってやや落ち着かない感じもありましたが、これで550円なら納得。オペレーションが安定した頃にまた伺いたいと思います。
