Remarks |
It was expanded and renewed on October 18, 2008. The non-smoking seats are often used by families when there are no banquets or parties. |
This is my second time at Ikenoue since the strong-tasting Peperosso. It's located along the train tracks, and the signboard is mysteriously flickering. It's old and has a typical local Chinese feel. Reservations are required, and it's popular during the Shanghai crab season. If you're a fan of Taiwan, you'll notice that Shanghai crabs don't appear in Taiwanese Taiwanese Cuisine. The general name for wild crabs in Taiwan is Wanlixie. They can be classified into three types: striped crab (flower crab), Japanese crab (three-point crab), and Asian sea cucumber (stone worm). The crab rice, a specialty of Taiwanese Cuisine, also uses the above crabs. It is an original Taiwanese Cuisine dish made by a Japanese owner. That said, they also serve Taiwanese Cuisine such as stir-fried dishes with various Chinese vegetables, sausages, radish mochi, and soy-marinated clams, so it's a good idea to check the menu to decide. The photo shows only the specialty braised pork ^^; I guess it just looks big. Personally, I thought the fried rice made with stir-fried Shanghai crabs and the fried Oyster, which are not Taiwanese Cuisine, were delicious. The last soup was a bit of a problem. It tasted like chemical seasoning. If you want to eat and drink as much as you like with a large group, I think this is a good place to go.
