今夜はせっかく下北沢で下車したので最近食べてないお好み焼きでも食べようと、何軒かの選択肢の中から選んだのは「だいこんまん」、昨年４月初来店以来の再訪でした。ここでは、関西風と広島風と両方のお好み焼き、さらに明石焼も食べられます。
前回は初来店で策もなく食べたので関西風と明石焼で満腹に。都内でお好み焼き店というと近年は広島風の店ばかり遭遇して関西風もかなりご無沙汰していたので、つい飛びついたのでした。今夜こそ両方食べようとアスパラチーズを関西風で注文。椎茸の鉄板焼きとやきとりをつまみながら待ち、お好み焼きが出されると、デカい。関西風ってソースの味が濃い印象があったけど、この店のはあっさり味なので食が進みます。とはいえ、筆者に直接会った人ならご存じの通り少食の哀しさ、もう１枚広島風も食べることはできず。今夜も無念の退店となりました。
お好み焼きは関西風と同モダン焼きとあり、アテも色々と種類があるし、他にオムレツや焼きそばも惹かれるので、今後はここに通うかな、と下北沢の他のお好み焼き店のブックマークは削除。やはり同じエリアでは「一食種一店」に絞らないと。長年通っていた近隣の広島焼の百名店はずっと仕事帰りにふらりと寄って入れたのにコロナ禍で逆に客が増えて予約記帳しないと入れなくなりました。これを機に、広島風から関西風に転向してもいいかも。
