I went to Shimokitazawa with my daughter who wanted to buy used clothes. For the first time in 20 years, Shimokitazawa has completely changed from the underground feel of my student days and has become a fashionable town. We had a light lunch at Negra, a retro Showa-era Coffee shops, and then went on a tour of vintage clothing stores. There are some vintage and remade clothes that I admire, but they just don't suit my taste and I'm starting to get bored with them. He tends to be separated from his wife and children, and even after buying a new Pokemon eco bag at a general store, he ends up not having any. I'm tired of walking and it's hot, so I want to have some tea, but there's always a line at every nice Coffee shops. I had no choice but to buy a beer at Convenience stores, but I couldn't afford to sit on the side of the road. As I was strolling around with a beer in hand, I spotted a sign for Takoyaki shop. The image of old Shimokitazawa is that the handwriting is messy. When I wandered in by myself, it was mid-afternoon, so I was able to sit down easily. For now, I ordered edamame, salted kelp cabbage, and chilled tomatoes for beer. The inside of the store is an old-fashioned Izakaya (Japanese-style bar), with retro posters to match. There are cute hand-drawn octopus illustrations here and there, and when you order Takoyaki, they draw them with sauce. I don't think it's a restaurant that specializes in taste, but it has come back to life. Thank you for the meal!
