店名は「Milestone」でなかったかな。
ようやく店がそろいだした井の頭通り沿い、Lawsonの少し富ヶ谷交差点よりにある小さなBar。畏友Cecilo氏のReviewにあるように表通りから奥まって低く位置しているので落ち着ける。
数ある上原のBarの中でこの店の特長は
１）カウンターの椅子は座面が低くどっしりとして幅広く、ホテルのラウンジにあるようなタイプ。飲む姿勢もカウンターに肘を突いてというよりは、背もたれに身を任せてとなる。止まり木で緊張感を持って飲むのもいいが、疲れているときは柔らかなクッションに包まれるのもいい。そのせいか、客層はやや年齢高め。もっともこの前は戦力外通告を受けたばかりのプロ野球選手が同僚と盛り上がっていたりもしたが。
２)個人的な好みだが、ウイスキーをロックで飲むならやはり氷は丸くなければと思う。そしてこの店のロックの氷はとりわけ真円度が高い丁寧なつくりなのだ。
３）その氷も含めたまだ若い西川さんのまじめで丁寧な仕事振り。
