近江「屋」でなく近江「家」。でも家系ラーメン店ではもちろんない。
とても優しげな男性とチャキチャキとした女性2人のオペレーション。ご夫婦かな。
平日の12時05分、先客4名(2組)。店内には4人用テーブルが5つ、小上がりに4人席が4つ(とはいえ、そのうち1つは荷物で潰れている)。ちょっと雑然としていて、少し独特な匂い(←嫌な匂いというわけではないが香しい匂いでもない)がある。男性の方の服はかなり真っ黒。
メニューは、ご飯の部、そば・うどんの部、一品料理。町のお蕎麦屋さんとしては普通と言っていいのだろうが、一品料理のバラエティが多いという印象。
自分はカレー南蛮そば950円を大盛り150円増しでオーダー。オーダーから6分ほどで着丼。大盛りの名に相応しい大きさの丼には心躍るが、その丼がいっぱいになるほど盛られていればもっと心躍ったのにと思いつつ。
具材はタマネギと鶏肉の二つ。鶏肉は小振りなものが5個ほどという感じ。カレーは少しスパイスが効いていて美味。蕎麦は細くも太くもなく、そういう意味ではちょうど良いし、食感もとても良い。
