この日は『しば田』を目指して仙川を降りたのだが店の前でやっていないことが判明。ここまで来たのだから妥協したくない。そんなわけで南へ向かう。結構歩いた。
最寄駅としては成城学園前だ。仙川と成城学園前のどちらから来てもかなり歩くだろう。立地はかなり悪いと思われるが、悪条件にも負けず評価の高い有名店だ。ちなみに『絢』は「けん」と読むらしい。
こちらは佐野ラーメンインスパイアということで麺に力が入っている。僕が注文した「醤油ラーメン」は確かに佐野ラーメンの青竹手打のようなコシのある平打ち麺で、これがかなり食べ応えがある。モチモチとしていて食べてて楽しい。
そして、ここが麺だけではないと思わせてくれるのはこのチャーシュー。写真を見てくれればわかるが大きくて美しい。スープもチャーシューも優しめの味わいで、チャーシューについては噛めば噛むほど豚肉本来の味わいが滲み出てくる。
それに惜しみなく隙間に添えられた穂先メンマも美味しい。
どこにスポットライトを当ててもレビューが書けそうだ。
そんなに古くない店だがどこか古きを重んじる、あるいは昨今のラーメンのあり方について考えを持っていそうな雰囲気もあり、かつ、ただ単に伝統的なスタイルに胡座をかくつもりはないといったこの店の意志を感じる。良い店だ。
この立地では少しもったいない気がする。もう少し都心寄りにあれば面白いのにな。
