昨秋に横浜元町のたこ焼きで出会った夫婦客に勧められた東中野「モーゼ」へようやく行けました。来店まで４ヶ月かかりましたが、実はちょうど２年前にクラブハウスの食通ルーム長もいらしています。
店に着くとシャッターが下りていて、臨時休業？と思ったらそのシャッターが上がり始めました。すぐ入店。パスタのベースは、あさり・明太子・ウニなので、迷わずあさりに。あさり・しめじ・納豆のパスタを注文。食器入れには「イタリアでは幼児扱い」のアマ将軍サマでも麺を食べられるように、フォークのほかにスプーンも置かれています、使わなかったけど。あさり出汁が納豆とよく合って美味しい。調味料もあるけど余計な味つけは不要、このアサリとシジミと納豆の食材の味だけで楽しめます。パスタも独特の食感があり優れもの。単純明快に美味しかったです。
「パスタ前」には、鶏とキノコのガーリッククリーム煮とタコのエスカルゴバターオーブン焼きを。デザート代わりに追加注文したサラダも、魚介のあしらいが豊かに盛ってあって良かった。
帰りは普通ならすぐ東中野駅に入るべきところ、新宿駅での降り口を考えてつい坂を下りて東口方面に歩くと、途中同メニューの同名店が。これは「本家」「元祖」のお家騒動があったのかっ？と帰りの車内で検索して調べると、先程の店がママの本店、坂の下のは息子の２号店だそうです。食べ比べのために、この２号店も行ってみるかなぁ。
