A hidden bar just 2 minutes walk from the east exit of Higashi-Nakano Station - Opening the door to whiskey
After training at a bar in Ginza for four years, we opened in January 2014 with the desire to make bars more accessible and part of everyday life! Our recommendation is whiskey. It may seem difficult, |
By chance, I met the bartender here at another bar and exchanged business cards. Higashinakano is right next door, and I have a good friend who lives there, so I often hang out here. "There's a bar like this in Higashinakano too." In the dim lighting, the whiskey bottles are lit up and sparkling. The chairs with armrests make you feel like you're a CEO. Today, I had a drink called "Sugawara Suikyou" in front of me. It's a unique drink made by blending barley shochu and carrot shochu and finishing it in a sherry cask. As Japanese whiskey has become famous and popular around the world, they wanted to market shochu in the same way, so they created it. When I had it on the rocks, the first impression was that it was mellow and sweet, and it was like shochu, but the aroma that came out of the nose was definitely from the sherry cask, which was very interesting. It's a unique drink, but it would be counterproductive to try it out too much, which would be a waste of the taste, but that's not the case. I wouldn't buy a bottle to drink it, but if you come across it in a bar like this, it's worth reaching out for. The problem is that there aren't many bars like this in Shin-Okubo and Okubo. There are plenty in Shinjuku, but they don't feel as calm. In that sense, this is very useful. I want a bar like this within walking distance, close to my house.
