めったに進出することが無い、都内の西側。
生まれて初めて久我山に行った帰りに、折角なので
もう一軒ということで中野で下車して寄ってみました。
階段下りていくとガラス張りの壁とドアを通して
店内が良く見えます。カウンタの背後は本棚と
寛げそうなローテーブル席が数席。代官山などで
みたことありそうな雰囲気をもう少し親しみやすく
した感じです。
バックバーはウィスキーの割合が多く、特に整然と
並んだ「キャラバン」と店名がカタカナ書きされた
ラベルのボトルが目に付きます。
キープボトルのようですが、バーでは珍しいですね。
ご近所の方に愛されているお店なのでしょう。
まずは、お気に入りカクテルの一つ、クォーターデッキを
お願いしました。こちらのレシピーは普通とは異なり
ホワイトラムの代わりにベルモットが入ります。
ラムに比べると酸味が強めで、ふくらみも欠けるような
気がしました。こういうレシピーもあるのかな？
二杯目はラムで作っていただきましたが、やはり
こちらのほうがしっくりきます。
ちなみにグラスはバカラのようでした。
