本店は阿佐ヶ谷で高円寺や渋谷にも支店があるダオっていうタイ料理のお店だ。
中野以外の店は現地風というか屋台風のお店でガヤガヤした感じなのだが、
こちらはシットリと落ち着いた感じの店になっている。
これはこの場所が以前はイル・ピアット 中野店というイタリアンだったからだろうか。
それとも私のような落ち着いた人が住んでる街だから、それに合わせたのだろうか。
まずは生ビール/カールスバーグ（550円）を注文。
この店の生ビールがグラスタイプで量が少ないのは知っているのだが、
シンハーやチャーンの小瓶が680円なので他に逃げようがないのだ。
オシャレな店は女性客が増えるのはいいか、ビールも割高になるのが良し悪しだなと思う。
食べ物はカオカバオラーカオ（900円）を注文した。
ガパオの鶏肉は粗めのみじん切りで、タレからはナンプラーが由来だろうか海鮮系の物が発酵したような旨みも感じる。
安定感のある濃いめの味付けだが、もう少しバジルが効いていたほうがバランスがいいように思った。
目玉焼きが程良い半熟になってるところには、タイ人シェフらしからぬ繊細さを感じる。
ご飯はタイ米でそこそこ量があるので、
何品か飲み食いした後のシメにガパオを注文するなら２〜３人でシェアした方がいいだろう。
実はこの店にはオープン前のレセプションパーティーに、とある方に連れてきてもらっている。
その時に食べたガイヤーンやパッポンカレーも美味しかったのだが、
タダで飲み食いした物を褒めても信憑性が無いので詳細は割愛した。
なおその時のパーティーで接客をしていたオーナーの奥さんは美人であった。
料理とちがい、こっちはタダで何かしてっもらったわけではないので真実を書いておく。
ビールが割高な事以外に、この店の欠点をあげるとすれば、
通常営業時にはその奥さんがいなかったことであろう。
