中野までの散歩中に、新中野の鍋や横丁あたりでランチしようと思っていた時に、路地に見慣れない立て看板が。カレー激戦区下北沢仕込みのカレーと書いてあり、これは食べてみたいと行ってみることにしました。
お店は以前はワイン酒場？バー？だったような、という家族の情報で、店内に入ると新中野エリアではあまりみないようなおしゃれな広々としたカフェ。店外の間口の狭さからはわからない、広い空間にソファ席やカウンターが並んだ贅沢な空間です。
ランチはカレーが３種類日替わりであり、その中から１種類、または２種類の合い盛りにできるというので、私はキーマカレーとバターチキンの合い盛り＋パクチーのトッピング。家族はキーマカレーとサバレモンカレーの合い盛りに。
オーダーすると、カレーをスパイスから仕込んでいる？のかな、少し時間がかかって提供。その盛り付けだけでも味はかなり期待通りの、奥行きのある味わいでした。
下北のカレー店ってあそこかなあと思いを巡らせながら一気に完食。
お店の店員さんたちはとてもフレンドリーで、常連のお客さんが昼からバーのように楽しんで昼カレーを楽しんでいるようでした。なかなか新中野あたりで、こういうスパイスカレー食べられるお店って少ないんじゃないかな。
日替わりメニューもお店のSNSで更新されるようなので、またぜひ足を運んでみたいです。
