まずは5枚目の外観写真を見てほしい。この店の店名は何だと思うだろうか？
大抵の人は「北京」って中華料理の店でしょって言うと思う。
だが残念ながらハズレ。
それはこの場所で50年くらい営業していた「北京亭」って店の看板の「亭」の字が取れたものだ。
じゃあその下に書いてある「PEP」って店かと思うだろう。
だがこれもハズレ。
それは「北京亭」の後に入ったビストロの店名で、もう閉業してしまっている。
ちなみに左側の黒板に書かれたままになってるメニューは、その「PEP」の時のものだ。
現在、ここで営業してるのはドアに貼られたダンボールに書かれた「51K」ってお店。
決して間借り営業だからダンボールを貼ってるわけでも、誰かの悪戯でもなくここで正式に営業している。
ランチメニューの51K特性カレー（税込1,000円）と、生ビール/カールスバーグ（税込480円）を注文。
しばらくして直径30cm以上ある皿が届き、これは超デカ盛りの店にでも来てしまったかとビビったが
ライスは皿の四分の一以下しか盛られておらず、常識的な量であった。
カレーはドミグラスソースの味を感じる欧風タイプ。
具は玉ねぎと豚バラ肉ではと思うのだが、カレーでよく煮込まれていたので違っていたらゴメンナサイ。
私にはややしょっぱく感じたが、時間をかけて作ったカレーだなという感じはした。
これにお冷と同じサイズのアイスコーヒーがついて千円って値段は、
昨今の物価高を考えると妥当なところではないかと思う。
さて冒頭で紹介した店名の「51K」であるが、これで「こいけ」と読むのである。
というわけでレビューのタイトルの意味が、ここでやっと判明するのであった。
