Shin-Nakano is a relatively minor station, but it has been featured on TV and other media many times, including "[a:13156851, Sanuki Udon Hana wa Saku Shin-Nakano Main Branch]," which was selected as one of the 100 famous udon restaurants. For some reason, udon restaurants such as ``[a:13025581, Handmade Udon Shikokuya]'' boast a high level of quality. This is a new udon restaurant that has opened in Shin-Nakano. Visit and see the tea ceremony. If you want to order according to your desires, you can start with a medium bottle beer (680 yen including tax), have Tempura platter of Seafood (450 yen including tax), and finish with beef udon (880 yen including tax) for a total of 2,010 yen. This is completely out of my budget. So, I wanted to eat and drink as cheaply as possible, so I ordered a chuhai drink (380 yen including tax), a snack of chikuwa tempura (120 yen including tax), and a final dish of udon (600 yen including tax) for a total of 1,100 yen. Chuhai is plain and not sweet. Chikuwa tempura is a chikuwa cut in half lengthwise, and is freshly fried and chewy. I think adding table salt makes it perfect as a snack. Kake udon only has a small amount of green onion on it, so I add tempura, grated ginger, and green onion from the free toppings corner. The udon noodles are thick and hard compared to Marugame Seimen, which is somewhat enviable. The soup was the type that Iriko insisted on. Up until this point, everything had gone pretty much as planned, or rather within my expectations, but when I looked at today's Tempura on the blackboard (4th photo), I realized that I had made a miscalculation. From the menu photos already posted, I thought that the cheapest Tempura would be chikuwa tempura for 120 yen, but Anglerfish tempura was 110 yen and squid tempura was 100 yen. I'm known for being stingy, so what a blunder. This is a very regrettable miscalculation. Actually, there were other miscalculations that resulted in the rating being 2.9 stars, but it's a bit difficult to write about in Tabelog, so I'm not going to go into details about it...
