There was a Western restaurant that caught my eye among the new shops under the elevated Western Cuisine tracks on the west side of JR Koenji Station, so I decided to give it a try. There were about 15 tables inside, and it was pretty empty even though it was around 8pm on a Sunday night. I didn't notice it at all until I entered the restaurant, but apparently the 390 in the restaurant's name meant that they served food for 390 yen (429 yen including tax). For sake, I ordered the Tomino Takarazan Highball (429 yen). The curry was on the top of the menu, so I ordered beef tendon curry rice (429 yen) and garlic chicken paella (429 yen). The food took about 3 minutes and the curry was brought out first. This so-called Japanese curry is filled with a lot of rice. It's a simple curry with a nice amount of beef tendon, but at 390 yen, it's a pretty good value. Next time, I would like to try toppings like sautéed pork belly with garlic (385 yen) or pork cutlet (385 yen), which were on the menu. The paella is made from rice, so it was delivered in about 10 minutes. Contains lots of chicken thighs. The taste of fine paprika and pounding garlic really whets the appetite. The size felt compact, but it contained less than 1 cup of rice, so I guess it would be enough for a girl to get full. At this price, even men can afford two items. The portions were larger than the usual cheap Italian Cuisine Family restaurant, and above all, the food was delicious, so it was a great value for money. You won't know until you enter the restaurant and look at the menu, but the cost performance is definitely worth the visit. I found a perfect place to stop by for a drink and fill my stomach before going to the bar. Thank you for the meal.
