かつて食べログタイ料理ランキングで全国1位にもなったことのある渋谷ダオタイ。
渋谷店は店名も経営形態も変わってしまったのですが、本店は相変わらず阿佐ヶ谷で健在です。
タイの屋台感溢れる田舎と都会が混ざった雰囲気。
ディティールに遊び心溢れる感覚。
まさしくダオタイです。
ゲーンキョーは他のお店のグリーンカレーとは一味違う美味しさ。
辛さが多層的に感じられて心地良いのです。
甘いと辛いの見事なアウフヘーベン。ご飯が進みます。
現在の本店シェフはチェンマイ系の方だということでチェンマイ名物カオソイも。
現地のお店や現地人による本格的なお店でカオソイを食べると麺が少々茹ですぎかなと思うことが少なからずあります。
しかしこれが現地式で、現地で食べると日本人にとっては茹ですぎな感覚のお店が多いように思います。
けれどもダオタイのカオソイの麺は太めのライスヌードル。だからこそ茹ですぎという感覚にはならず、もちっとした食感が良くて美味しいんです。
やっぱり良いなぁ。
美味しくて、値段もお手頃なのですから素晴らしいです。
タイ料理というのはある意味で完成された料理であり、どこで食べてもだいたい美味しいものの飛びぬけた美味しさだと思えるお店はほとんど無かったりもします。
その中でダオタイは間違いなく頭一つ抜きんでた美味しさの名店ですよ。
