過日の夜、当方の某会合上がりに相方と待ち合わせ。いつもは当方縄張りの中野界隈で飲むことが多いのだけれど、会合場所の阿佐ヶ谷で久しぶりに新規開拓。北口線路沿いの飲食街をふらふらとお店を覗きながら歩いてゆくとその末端寄りに当店発見。カウンター席は程よく埋まり、丁度2席空きが見える。常連さんメインのお店だということは明らかだけれど、飛び込んでみる。
思いの外アウエイ感なく溶け込める雰囲気がありがたい。とりあえずの生ビールを頂いて、枝豆やら鳥たたきやらやきとんやら焼鳥やらをさくっと注文する。供された酒肴、どれもが普通に美味しい。実は普段使いで通うお店というのはこの「普通・中庸」が存外大事。
カウンター席は和気藹々。常連さんの持ち込んだ土産品が一見客のこちらにも配って頂けたりして、隣り合うものすぐに仲良くできる不思議。比較的女性のお客さんが多いのは当店の作り出す柔らかい雰囲気に由来するものだろう。
ホイス・ハイボールなど銘々にそこそこ追加して一人税込み2500円程度のお勘定はそこそこお値打ち感あり。特に焼鳥が1串100円から頂けるのはかなり嬉しい。
一人呑み、二人呑みにジャストサイズの廉価居酒屋の良店。阿佐ヶ谷で軽く飲みたくなった時、重宝かも。基本的に串ものメインのお店だけれど、黒板記載のおすすめの品書きを見ると、魚介のおつまみもそれなりに用意されているようなので、次回は頂いてみようと思う。
