This newly opened shop is located on the 2nd floor of the alley that exits the north exit of JR Asagaya and enters from the back left of the rotary. What's interesting is that the concept is not focused on Tohoku or Aomori Prefecture, but on a very narrow area of Hachinohe. As soon as you go up the stairs, you'll find yourself inside the store, with a few bar-like counter seats in the front, a spacious structure in the back with several tables, and a private room in the back. It had a stylish atmosphere with high ceilings, and tables were spaced widely apart, so it didn't feel cramped. It was early on a Saturday evening, but it was raining, so it wasn't too crowded and felt like a hideout. As for the drinks, I tend to like sake, so I ordered the Mutsu Otokoyama CLASSIC Ichigo (580 yen), as I tended to use sake breweries from Hachinohe. I'm glad that you can pour it in waves in both a glass and a masu type. Although it had a dry taste, it had a slightly sweet taste and was refreshing and easy to drink. This is the cheapest, but it feels like the standard. The Umi-kko Salad (780 yen) I ordered for the first time was a Seafood salad with thick salmon and paprika. The famous grilled mackerel (980 yen) has a nice amount of fat and is eaten with wasabi and soy sauce. It doesn't feel like sashimi, but it's a delicacy that goes well with sake. Fried river shrimp (480 yen) was a large piece of deep-fried river shrimp, and the saltiness could be adjusted using the table seasoning. Tamagoyaki (580 yen) It's not a bare-bones roll, but a date-roll, sweet and pudding-like, making it feel like a dessert. The main dish of the day was the Hachinohe rice Senbei (rice crackers) soup (980 yen) that I ordered first. The size is small, about the size of a single serving, with a clear kelp soup stock. It was a little salty, but the hotpot was more of a snack than rice. Senbei (rice crackers) absorb the juice well and are highly satisfying. I felt like I ended up eating all the menu items I wanted to eat the first time, but it felt more like a restaurant where you can drink at an adult pace, more like a second restaurant to finish off the meal than the first restaurant. It's rare to find a restaurant in Tokyo where you can enjoy Senbei (rice crackers) soup, so I think I'll go there again if I start missing Hachinohe. Thank you for the meal.
