別に特段うまいというわけでもない。店主の人柄が優れている訳でもない。しかしそれでもなぜか、定期的にこの店のことを思い出すことがある。
悩みに悩んだ末に頼まなかった餃子が恋しくなって、ラーメンを食べ終わった後にわざわざ注文したり、色あせた芸能人のサインを覗くと年号が昭和だったり、後ろのテーブル席でギターを担いだ男が彼女に詰め寄られていたり。
そういう風景や記憶が、たまにありありと思い出される時がある。
それはたぶん、この店の歴史と、あるいは西荻窪という街のせいかもしれない。
