I tried to increase the options for daytime drinking in Nishi-Ogikubo. It's great that they have it open from 1pm even on weekdays. I ordered lemon sour and hot sake, and a half portion of sashimi and grilled broad beans for snacks. The half portion is very convenient for a single person who just wants to drink a little. The sashimi portion was very fresh with yellowtail, amberjack, horse mackerel, and tuna. The hot broad beans went well with the hot sake. I also ordered a chicken gizzard skewers and two pieces of pork jerky. I discovered a great Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that had a good selection of items from the afternoon.
