武蔵野文庫は何年かに一度来ていた。
東京の老舗カフェでも名門に入るんじゃないかと思う。
そのせいか訪問までできても入店を諦めることも多々有った。
晴れて気持ちの良い日の吉祥寺の人混みは常軌を逸してるのに、今日は一人のせいか、すんなり入店できた。
若い頃みたいケーキ類に食指が動くことが少なくなったが、ここのレモンケーキは定期的に戴きたくなる。仄かな甘みと酸味のバランスは健在。
突然暑くなった日なので、普段は飲まないアイスコーヒーをオーダー。
なんともおしゃれな取手なしのカップにクラッシュアイスと共に供されてきた。
老舗は常に、新しいことを試みて、歴史を紡いでいくのかな。
東京から個性的なカフェが消えゆくなか、吉祥寺や国分寺辺りは、カフェ文化を維持して欲しい。
陶芸作品のディスプレイも、待ち時間を楽しいものにしてくれるはず。
