新星と言っても８月で一周年になるそうで、知らなかっただけなんですが、嬉しいBARを発見しました。
吉祥寺駅南口を三鷹方面へ50mほど歩くとam/pmが在ります。
そのam/pmの隣の雑居ビルのかなりくさいエレベータを3Fまで息を殺して上がるとBar Aotetsuが在ります。
10名がゆったりと座れる長いカウンター。適度な明るさの照明。中央のトレイに載っているレモンとライムが美しい。
テーブル席の無い長細い店内だが手狭な感じはしない。
そして誠実さが滲み出ているバーテンダーの粟生（あおう）さん。
なかなか良い感じのお店である。
メニューを開くと好きなビール「ガージェリー・スタウト」が有った。飲みたいがお腹はすでにシンハービールで一杯の状態だったのでギムレットをお願いした。
拝見するととても丁寧なお酒の作り方をなさる。
フレッシュライムを使ったギムレットは尖った味にならずなかなか美味しかった。
一杯だけ、と思って試しに寄ってみたのだが、ギムレットの美味しさについマティーニを頼んでしまう。最近酒が弱くなったのか夜の最後にマティーニを飲むと翌日まで残ってしまう。
大きな良い氷をミキシンググラスの中できちんと組んでから作業にかかる。ベルモットはリンスでお願いしたら丁寧なリンスをしていただけた。最近、リンスで頼むとダッシュで済ませる横着もののバーテンダーも少なくなく、腹が立つのでめっきりリンスと言わなくなっていたが、粟生さんの丁寧なリンスは好ましい。
ステアは40回。
レモンピール無しで香りを嗅ぐ。香りは立っている。
一口飲む。水っぽくなるぎりぎりの限界。
しかしまだ少しボンベイサファイヤの角が残っている。
美味しく充分満足できるマティーニであったが、ステアの技術は吉祥寺ではAlbaの武田氏が一段上と見た。
しかしトータルで非常に好ましいBARと感じた。
一回目は客層も良かった。
近いうちに再訪してみたい。
