子供の頃から親が作ってくれる「トライフル」というケーキが好きだったのですが、スポンジケーキにリキュールを染み込ませて、フルーツをあしらい、カスタードと緩めに立てた生クリームをかけたもの。残り物やありあわせで作るので「トライフル」という意味があるんだそうです。
吉祥寺からしばらく歩いた高架下付近にある、小さなかわいいカフェです。
入口付近でケーキをみることができるのですが、トライフルがあったので思わず注文。コーヒーにもこだわりがあるお店のようで、ブレンドコーヒーにもいくつか種類があり、豆を指定したものもオーダーできます。一番深入りで苦味が強いものをオーダー。
1杯ずつ落としてくれたコーヒーは雑味がなく、キレイなお味。
トライフルも緩めに立てられた生クリームと、カスタードのテクスチャが揃っていて、これこれという感覚が。フルーツもいちじくをはじめ、季節のものが潤沢に載せられていて、「ありあわせ」では全然ないパフェ的なトライフルでした。
