バビーズ吉祥寺でパイをお持ち帰り
高円寺の広州市場でわんたんを食べた帰り。
吉祥寺で途中下車して街をふらふら。
新しくできたゴンチャでお茶でも、と思ったけど、
まだまだ長い待ち行列ができてたので断念。
で、バビーズでお茶でも、と思ってたんだけど...
自分でもびっくりするくらいお腹が一杯で、
茶してパイ食べるなんて出来そうもなかったので、
お持ち帰りで夜のデザートに。
ちなみに購入したのは、キーライムパイとバナナモカパイ。
（関係ないけど、バビーズの紙袋がめんこいのよ）
キーライムパイは、想像の斜め上いく酸味。
甘みも感じるのに甘酸っぱいわけでもなく...不思議な食味。
そこに生クリームを乗せると酸味が薄まり濃厚さが顔をだすという
不思議さ倍増状態でね。
タルト地は全粒粉なのかなぁ。時々ゴリつく歯ざわりがちょと苦手かな。
バナナモカパイは、しっかりとしたモカとバナナの相性がバツグン！
モカがモカっぽくもありチョコっぽくもあってね。
だからか、余計バナナとの相性が良く感じちゃう。
中野のカイルズ・グッド・ファインズほどのアメリカンさは感じないけど、
上品な甘さで、これはこれでアリかと。
美味かっったっす。今度はお店で肉食おう！

土曜の昼下がり。
ちょいと遠出を考えていたけど、仕事で疲れていたというのと、
冷たい雨が降り出しそうという理由で、近場の吉祥寺で済ますことに。
ランチはどうしようかなぁ、と迷いつつ、狭々しい店はなんとなく嫌だった。
それならバビーズかな、と。
運良く待ちなしでだったので、ささっと入店さー。
テーブル席に腰掛けホッとひと息。
席感が広くていいやねー。
以前、パイをお持ち帰りしたことはあったけど、店内での実食は初めてさー。
メニューを眺めつつ迷うこと数分。
正直なところあまり食べたいものがなくってね。
7担当の人がハンバーグを頼むとのことだったので、俺はマックアンドチーズを発注。
待つこと10分ほどでキタですよっと。
まずは7担当の人のブルーチーズバーガー（フレンチフライ）。
でもって俺のマカロニチーズプレート（コールスロー）。
マックアンドチーズがびっくりするくらい熱々だったので、
7担当の人からハンバーガーをおすそ分けしてもらって冷めるのを待った。
ハンバーガーは、ブルーチーズを売りにしている割にはブルーチーズ感が薄い。
バンズはふわふわでパティは大ぶりに肉々しくて良き。
フレンチフライはしなしなの残念仕様。
うーーーん...。
あ、大ぶりのガーキンは酸味強めでガリガリで美味しかったぁ。
でもって俺のマックアンドチーズ。
熱々でマカロニはシェル型。熱々にしすぎたせいか、歯ざわりが弱い。
歯のない人には優しいかもね。
あとチーズの濃厚さがイマイチ。もっと濃ゅいチーズ感が欲しいなぁ。
ハンバーガーもそうだけど、全体的に上品過ぎて。もうちょいジャンキーさが欲しいな、と。
ハンバーガー用のマスタードをかけたり、タバスコをかけたりしたけど、完食ならず。
せめてマリーシャープスがあれば、味変で完食できたろうなぁ、と思ったり。
このゆったり感は嫌いじゃないので、次回はパイかパンケーキあたりでお茶でもしようと思った。
