工夫された絶品カレーに大満足
「今日のランチは辛いものが食べたい」と連れから言われ、麻婆豆腐かカレーかと考えていたところ、チェックしていたこちらの店を思い出した。ここなら両方満たせるかも。
平日14時前、先客は1組。
散々迷った挙句、2人で違うものを頼むことに。
◆ 上海角煮カレー 辛口 大盛250g ¥1,300
◆ 四川麻婆豆腐カレー 辛口 普通盛200g ¥1,100→日替サービス¥990
待っている間に水を飲むと、ほのかに香る。どうやらライム、レモン、ミントのデトックスウォーターらしい。こんなこだわりに期待が膨らむ。
食べ放題の自家製ザーサイもいい味。
サーブされると共に、頼んでいないにも関わらずシェア用の取り皿を持ってきてくれた。
こんなちょっとした気遣いに感動。
角煮カレーは、湘南の「珊瑚礁」を彷彿とさせる黒めのルー、八角が香る。そこに大きめのホロホロ角煮がうま〜い。
麻婆豆腐カレーは山椒、花椒の辛シビ系。こちらも他にはない味わい。
両方とも辛口にしたがあまり強い辛さは感じなかったけれども、食べているうちにジワジワ発汗し気がつけば汗だく。スパイスがたくさん入っているんだろうな。
この2品には確かに福神漬けではなく、ザーサイが合うのは頷ける。「うまいうまい」と空になりそうになるとそっと補充したものと入れ替えてくれた。
ワンオペであるが、視野が広く、高いホスピタリティとこだわりを感じ「夜もぜひ来てみたい」と二人共に思った、大満足のランチタイムだった。

吉祥寺で軽く飲むことになって、以前ランチで行ってうまかったこの店に訪問。

相変わらず角煮はほろほろで美味い。
