レビューアップの順序が逆になったが、千川駅近くで美味しい「焼鳥丼」を食べたあと、麗らかな陽気に誘われて隣駅の小竹向原までブラブラと歩く。
ちょっと休んで行こうと寄ったのは、人気のケーキショップ。
この地では何といっても「クリオロ」が有名だが、あちらが千川から移転して来たのは7年前なので、1990年創業のこちらの方が歴史が古い。
14時頃に到着。
店頭は植栽の鉢などが置かれた開けたスペースとなっており、雰囲気の良い佇まいを見せている。
左手にはテラス席も設けられている。
入ると大きなショーケースにケーキ類が納められ、周囲の棚には焼菓子類が数多く並べられている。
こちらで選んだケーキとお茶を注文すれば、客席まで運んでくれる。
喫茶スペースは奥の方の結構広いスペースを占めており、客席は20以上。
この時間帯で先客は2組で、中ほどの2人掛けのテーブルを占める。
ケーキはおすすめを訊くと、一番人気は「バスク風チーズケーキ」とのこと。
こちらに「イタリアンブレンド」を合わせて注文。
チーズケーキは表面の焦げ目の適度な苦みと、マッタリとした味わいの期待通りの出来。
深煎りのコーヒーも良かった。
30分ほどの滞店ながら、快適なひと時を過ごせた。
ケーキもコーヒーも美味しく、人気の程も納得。
内外の雰囲気から、地元民には根強く支持されていることが窺える。
遠来の客は「クリオロ」目当てだろうが、こちらもきちんと存在感を示している佳店である。
