富士見台のオシャレカレー店、香菜軒へ。カレー専門誌でもよく名前を見る店だ。
夜２２時まで空いているが、ラストオーダーは２１時なので注意が必要。
場所は、商店街の中ではなく、一本西側の細い通り沿い。
２１時前に訪問すると、先客はゼロ。私の後に、夫婦客が二組いた。行列はなさそうなので安心。カウンター席もあるので、一人でも気軽に訪問できる。
中年夫婦が営業しているらしい。
メニューは多彩。野菜カレーがイチオシのようだが、私は、海老とキノコのカレーを注文。
カレーは基本的にライス付きだ。
お腹が空いていなかったので単品注文にしたが、しっかり食べたい人にとっては、半ライス、半プーリー、カレー２種、デザート、サラダ付のBセットがおススメ。
本格的な店だとは思うが、待ち時間は短い。７，８分程度。
カレーを見てびっくりしたのは汁気の無さ。インド系のカレーかなと想像していたが、汁気ほぼゼロ。
器には、たっぷりボリュームの海老とキノコのカレーソース炒めが盛られている。
この具だくさんこそがこのカレーの最大の特徴。海老はぷりっぷり、キノコはしゃきっしゃき、満足度高い。
ソースも単調なカレーソースではなく、旨みが凝縮。あたかも、カニミソのような味がする。
ライスは、日本人にも食べやすいタイプで、湿気はほどほど。
店内もオシャレだし、メニューも豊富と、非の打ち所がない。
機会があれば、Bセットで他のカレーも食べてみたい。
