上石神井駅南口から徒歩1分程度の場所にある料理の美味しい居酒屋。パパズでランチの「日替りパスタ」を食べた帰り道、当店の店頭に「炭火焼鳥定食」と記載されたメニュー看板を発見。通常は夜営業のみお店だが、コロナ対応ということでランチ営業も行っているようだ。焼鳥を定食の形で味わえるお店は意外と少ないことから、日を改めて新規開拓をすることに。土曜日の11時半過ぎに訪問してみると、店内にはまだ先客は一人もおらず。入店時に手をアルコール消毒し、セルフサービスということで、水・おしぼり・箸は自分で取って来るシステム。
当日のランチメニューは、炭火焼鳥定食（850円）、炭火豚ロース重（780円）、豚バラ肉の冷しゃぶ定食（780円）の3種類で、ご飯の大盛は100円増となっている。その後、通ってみて分かったことだが、炭火焼鳥定食と炭火豚ロース重はランチの定番メニューで、もう一つは日替りメニューになっているようだ。注文はもちろんお目当ての炭火焼鳥定食で、ご飯は大盛でお願い。期待の炭火焼鳥定食は、注文から10分程度で登場。タレで焼かれた焼鳥は、もも×2、つくね×2、かわの5本構成。どの串もそこそこ大振りなので食べ応えがあり、味的にも十分満足できるレベル。焼鳥の味付けはデフォルトはタレ味だが、お願いすれば塩味でも出してくれる。ちなみに、塩味で味わった時の炭火焼鳥定食は、もも×2、つくね×2、白もつの5本構成で美味しかった。
以下では、炭火焼鳥定食以外のメニューについて簡単にコメントすることにしよう。炭火豚ロース重は、厚めにカットされた豚ロースがご飯の上にドーンと乗っている。甘めのタレで香ばしく焼かれており、ご飯が進む一品。副菜の玉子焼きも地味に美味しいのが嬉しい。日替りメニューで味わったのは、レモンチキン南蛮定食（780円）、豚の生姜焼き定食（780円）、三元豚のロースカツ定食（980円）の3種類だが、どれも予想以上の美味しさでビックリ。特に三元豚のロースカツ定食は極厚で、とんかつ専門店にも引けを取らない旨さ。これが980円で味わえるなんて嬉しい限り。現状はコロナ禍での営業で大変だと思うが、ランチ営業等で何とか乗り越えてもらいたい。コロナが収束したら、みんなでディナータイムにも訪問してみよう。
