GW初日、新緑。木漏れ陽の暗渠散歩を挙行しました。田柄川緑道と桜川緑道です。板橋・城北公園サイドの桜川緑道と、練馬・住宅街サイドの田柄川緑道では表情がまるで違います。練馬側は暗渠らしく住宅が背を向けて建てられて、交差する道はすべて橋の名前が表示されています。かたや板橋側は、城北公園最北端の位置からは桜川という名称となり、深い杜の中を、蓋をする意味がわからないほど自然の中を流れ、石神井川に合流しています。いや、見えないのですが。どうやら現在は下水道整備されているそうで、だから蓋をされているのです。
田柄川の終点付近を横切る城北公園通り。昔は蒙古タンメン中本の本店がありましたが、その並びの南側にやはり昔からある洋食屋さん「キッチンロックポット」で昼食をとりました。ちょっと休憩です。
マスターとママのおふたりで営業されています。客層はお子様連れご家族やご夫婦や一人客など幅広い地元客に愛されているようです。そして感染防止対策はバッチリです。
メニューは、洋食ど真ん中。ハンバーグを主力に、ビーフシチュー、タンシチュー、フライ、グリルなどなどハードパンチャーが勢揃い。このオフェンス力に私はどう立ち向かえばいいのか。…小細工はいりません。やってきたことを表現するだけ。いつも通り対峙しましょう。では…
「チーズトマトハンバーグ + ポタージュスープ」¥1,050 + ¥250
金額上乗せしてポタージュをオーダーしました。これでこっちのペースです。
ハンバーグの傍らには、ソリッドボディの大根、キャロット、ブロッコリー、さつまいも、じゃがいも、そしてマッシュポテトなど、彩とりどりの野菜たち。
ハンバーグにナイフを挿せば、ああーっ！すごい肉汁、もったいない。ナイフでふさごうとしてもダメです。あふれてきちゃいます。肉汁、バーグに還らず。その肉汁が溶け込んだトマトソースでいただくわけだから、まあいいか。
控えめな味のチーズと、これまた酸味を抑えたトマトソース。ハンバーグを生かしています。ソースに負けないしっかりとしたハンバーグの肉の味。
実は、まさかこんなに本格的で美味しいお食事ができるとは思っていませんでした。マスター、大変失礼しました。なにしろ板橋ですから、少しさっ引いて考えていました。とんでもありません、素敵な洋食です。美味しいですね。
新緑の城北公園の杜を眺めながら、ナイフを操って肉の塊を口に運んで、ひとときの幸せを噛み締めます。世の中はまだまだ予断を許さない緊急事態。暗渠散歩で息抜きできるなんて、そしてこんなハンバーグを食べられるなんて、申しわけない気がします。
昔から知ってたのに、もっと早く訪問しておけばよかったです。世の中が快方に向かったなら、ワイングラスでも傾けにきたいと思います。とりあえずランチ、ごちそうさまでした。
