My first choice was Gyubic on the same street, but I couldn't go because of a reservation. However, I found this restaurant there, and it was more than just a hit. I ordered: Premium raw tongue 1,200 yen, Ryugen kalbi 680 yen, complimentary kalbi 420 yen, skirt steak 680 yen, and three kinds of kimchi platter 480 yen. I started with the three kinds of kimchi platter, and for 980 yen I could also get all-you-can-drink (except for bottled drinks), so that was a good deal. I stuffed my mouth with the assortment of oi-kimchi and kakuteki while waiting for the meat. First up was the raw tongue, which, as the name suggests, is crimson red raw tongue. It seems that medium rare is recommended, so I quickly grilled both sides and put it in my mouth. The unique crunchiness of the tongue and the fresh softness gave it an exquisite taste. Next was the skirt steak and the kalbi. These were also very tender, went well with the sauce, and were very meaty. The kalbi in particular was perfect for on the rice. Since it is directly managed by a meat wholesaler, the meat is of course of high quality, but it is also good value for money. If it were in my neighborhood, I would definitely come back.
