I got to taste the natural sweetness of carrots; it was delicious!
The third place I went to that day was this restaurant at the south exit. There seemed to be a few tables at the back of the restaurant, but I sat at a counter seat near the entrance. The waiter brought a tray with several Small dish on it. You can choose two dishes from these as an appetizer (300 yen). I chose gizzard and burdock salad. The first thing I was served was "Whole Carrot (420 yen)". A whole carrot with the skin on, which seems to have been steamed, was brought out on a plate. It was piping hot. Following the waiter's instructions, I started by biting into it without adding anything. Sweet! What is this!! This is what they mean by the natural sweetness of carrots. This is no longer a vegetable, but a fruit. It was delicious with the dressing that was served with it, but personally I thought it was better to eat it as it was. They didn't tell me much about the cooking method, but it seems that they cook it under pressure. I wonder if I can do it at home? Next was "Yam Wasabi (390 yen)". The dish is chopped yam tossed with Nozawana wasabi. The crisp yam is refreshing and delicious. I wonder if there's anything else on it? Next is the "Seared Marinated Mackerel (590 yen)". It's a half-fish lightly seared marinated mackerel, and it's quite filling. It's fatty and delicious. Drinks include "draft beer (420 yen)" and "Mega Kaku Highball (560 yen)". The prices are reasonable, which is helpful. On my way out, the staff said "Torimero at the Asaka South Exit is a sister store." Torimero is operated by Watami, but is this store also operated by the same company? Or does it have the same owner? That's all that remains a mystery. The prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly, so I've become a repeat customer.

I visited this restaurant as my second stop today, as I had a good impression of it last time. I ordered the following items. ・Chicken meatballs (250 yen) ・Yam wasabi (390 yen) ・Appetizer (300 yen) ・Draft beer (420 yen) ・Draft lemon sour (440 yen) The carrot was shocking, but I gave up on it today because I was full. I ordered the yam wasabi again this time, which was delicious last time, and it was delicious as usual. I actually tried making the same thing at home, but the taste and texture were somehow different. They are making an effort to make it delicious. It was on a different level from amateur cooking. The chicken meatballs had a firm, meaty texture, unlike the fluffy texture at the first restaurant. Each restaurant seems to have their own unique meatballs, and each restaurant has a different taste and texture. It might be interesting to visit various restaurants without changing the items.
